Program: Rehabilitation of 3-story building to include classrooms, teacher’s offices, lounges and bathrooms. The project also included refurbishing all exterior facades.
Description: The 3-story building was built around the 1930’s as part of the US Ramey Air Force Base. In 1973 was deactivated and later became part of the University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla Campus. The project consists of a full renovation of all interior spaces to accommodate classrooms and offices. The design addresses all energy-saving specifications like furring exterior walls and roof with insulation, reflective glass panes in windows and recycled materials in the selection of interior finishes.
