Description: The proposal for “Parque de Toa Alta” consists of a family-oriented recreational park facility located near Escuela Superior Adela Rolón Fuentes in the Toa Alta Heights neighborhood. The area of the property to be designated for the Park is approximately 97,500 square feet (9,058 sq. m.). Within the property there is a one-story structure of 4,400 sq. ft. that is to be remodeled and converted into several spaces for recreational use, bathrooms, kitchen and a small administrative office. The site will accommodate 36 parking spaces on existing concrete slabs. In the existing green areas, the project proposes a “Splash Pad”, a playground and other recreational outdoor-activity areas which will have very little impact on the existing terrain. The Park project emphasizes on preserving all existing trees and protecting as much green space as possible. There will be walkways of permeable surfaces that will allow natural site drainage.
