Program: Full-gut renovation of a 2-level house in historic district of Miramar in San Juan, P.R.
Description: The house is considered to have been built in the 1940’s and is located in historic Trigo Street in Miramar.  The strategy in its rehabilitation has been focused on identifying the essence of the house and expanding on it.   In order to do we need to start by cleaning up the numerous interventions made by previous owners.   The proposed scheme includes the demolition of back patio expansions allowing natural light and a new stair volume.  The interiors will reflect the original spatial quality of the houses from this era while contrasting with more contemporary furnishings.  The house will feature a 3rd level Roof Terrace expansion that will take advantage of the views to the Condado Lagoon.
