Description: The original house was designed by Francisco Valines Cofresi in 1935 which was classified by the State Historic Preservation Office as a historic place in 1995 for its “Prairie Style” architecture. The proposed program of a full-service ophthalmology facility with optical shop was inserted into the existing historic shell which was preserved to its original architectural style. The exterior balconies and multiple-pitched roofs were restored and contrasted with an exposed concrete volume expansion.
